You lost all credibility when i got to the bottom and Safari had made this list. It is hands down the worst browsing experience. I would rather be on a PC and use IE instead of Safari. Chrome is definitely better on a Mac. That being said, all browsers for Mac seem to lag behind web standards. Love my Mac. But, this really has to change.

Meh, Safari is OK. I also prefer Crhome, though. But Safari performs pretty well on OS X. And what do you mean by “lag behind”?

The title says I am not stuck with Safari … then tells me to use Safari?! Retarded. For me, I use Firefox, mostly out of habit and the fact the experience on Windows and Mac OS is very similar ( I unfortunately have to bounce between both environments at work).

I don’t use Safari either, but how is that retarded? Just because the author of this article likes Safari doesn’t mean everyone else likes it, or wants to be stuck with it. Realizing that other people won’t want to be stuck with Safari is not retarded. Also, even the author may like to switch it up a little.

I just looked at this. And I am amazed. Flock was discontinued in 2011, as far as I know. Why list it? Are you two years behind? C’mon.

Safari is great except for ads. Chrome is greater because with Adblock ads are greatly reduced.

Exactly. And as an alternative, if one doesn’t trust AdBlock Plus, AdGuard is a great alternative. It has a free browser extension for Safari and also a paid Mac app.

Camino has also been discontinued. I only used it for Pandora since it seemed to use less memory than some of the other browsers. Chrome is definitely my browser of choice and Safari is rarely opened. Looking around for a replacement for Camino.

I have used Firefox for years. Lately I have been getting this error message a lot, probably 3 out of 4 times. It makes the browser completely useless. I am using Mac Mavericks OS. Ideas?

I’ve had continual, multiple issues with Firefox: crashes frequently (even after re-loading), won’t copy and past URLs (such as into email programs), closes web pages immediately that are completely operable on other browsers. Not a good choice for Mac (Yosemite OS).
